All highly true however - I DO spiral, I do doubt myself, I do have mad panics and hyperfocusing that makes me forget who I am.
However, I also have HUGE creative glimmers and could not enjoy the work I do more. I’ve learnt (am learning) to work with my brain and accept that there are some things that just do happen but always balance out in the end. Without my spirals, hyperfocusing and mad panics there may not be the creative sparks and outcomes I eventually get to - would I rather not experience them? YEP. But I’m finding ways to calm them and introduce ways of working that settle the self-doubt and panic.
My ADHD thrives in chaos and pressure, my autistic side prefers routine and structure - sometimes the two compliment, a lot of the time they collide aggressively…
